Let's talk Purim! I love Purim so much and that's because my creativity finally comes to good use! I got many requests over on my Instagram account to do a racecar theme Mishloach manos so here it is!
You can use many of these ideas for a racecar party or a car themed party as well! Now let's get started.
For the box, I used this shiny cardboard checkered black and white container and I love how easy it is to put together!
I like these boxes because they are sturdy and not flimsy at all. Perfect for serving food at your kid's race car party! They come in other patterns too for other themes.
I stuffed the box with gold tissue paper, but honestly it may have looked better with red, I couldn't decide! I linked the tissue paper right here, I love the metallic finish.
Now for inside these boxes, let's start with that adorable acrylic trophy! I filled them with gold wrapped candies, but any golden or silver candy will do!
I like these because they're not cheaply made, my daughter dropped them a couple times on the floor and not a single crack! I see these working well for a horseback rider theme as well.
The cute little "spare tires" and "engine fuel" labels were made by my sister who just started doing labels professionally. She is really creative and just knows how to get the job done! Text 347-452-3294 to order your labels!
These labels are just adorable!
Now for the snacks. I love Sunday Snacks because most of their stuff is made with avocado oil, so props to them for that. I chose this kettle corn snack because of the colors. I taped on two crisscrossing race car flags and it's all matchy matchy now!
You can stick these into cupcakes, pudding cups or guacamole, they're pretty light so they'll stay put and won't sink in!
I added a little racecar (which my son decided to dunk into the bath right before I took the photos so all the detail got rubbed off) which came in a pack of 8 and the red matches perfectly. It even has the little checkered details.
These are great car themed party favors for two year old little boys, my son couldn't keep his hands off of them!
Now talk about those traffic lights! I made these using a chocolate coated wafer and colorful jellybean balls that I found at my local grocery. I attached the beans to the wafer using melted dark chocolate. I think they came out adorable. Such a great party food idea for car theme or even a construction theme party.
This is a photo I took while I was making the traffic lights. Super simple! Just use melted chocolate to attach the little jelly beans.
I put these chocolates into tall skinny cellophane bags. These can be tricky to find the size that you need. But it's really the perfect size for things like pretzel rods and cookie sticks. Here's a link to these skinny cellophane bags. I just cut them down to the size I need.
I also used these cellophane bags to package the Oreos for the "spare tires". I like this pack because it comes with many sizes of bags not just one. So that's helpful when you're not sure what size you're going to need!
So there you have it! That's my rendition of a race car theme mishloach manos. I added lots of things so you can pick and choose what you want to include.
I have lots more Purim ideas and links for mishloach manos for almost any theme imaginable over on my Amazon storefront. It's all divided by theme. Enjoy!
Until next time,
Libby
