I love Rosh Hashana for several reasons, the main one being the newness of the crisp fall air symbolizing the start of a new Jewish year.
Every year, this Jewish Holiday brings me so much warmth and fuzziness as I bake my honey cakes and set my table.
As I eyed my fresh bottle of honey in the cabinet, I was inspired to do a tablescape that is a nod to the special Rosh Hashana honey that welcomes in a sweet new year.
I decided on amber and gold colors and came up with the cutest way to display our apples and honey. I’ll share everything below, plus where you can shop for everything and still get it before the high holidays arrive!
For starters, the beautiful wooden bowl I found for $14! You can get it right here I filled it with fake large apples, mini apples and fake rose hip sprigs, which you can find at your local craft shop, Walmart or Amazon.
In order to get the honey effect, I piped yellow hot glue with a glue gun all over the apples in a drippy pattern. I stuck some on the wooden honey dipper as well. It really came out looking like honey!
For the table, I just used my bare wood grain table from IKEA. The plates are these lovely hammered plastic plates that reflect the sun insanely well and look incredibly high end. You can find them here in an assortment of colors and sizes.
Here is another option for the plates if you need a bigger pack and here are those little glitter plates that I used for the middle of the place setting. Here is the largest plate that I used! Remember you can mix and match, I’m just giving you options!
So, in the middle of the plate I had this idea to put individual apple and honey dipping cups for each person. How cute would that be? And it came out so adorable!
I used this pack of cups with lids and filled the bottom with apples and the lid with honey and yes the lid stands on its own when filled!
The napkins beneath the plates are also special since I found them at Walmart with a Hebrew monogram letter. And you can choose your own family initial from all of the aleph bet!
The cups look like they’re real but they’re totally disposable! They cought my eye because of their beautiful honeyish amber color. Get them here on Walmart or here on Amazon.
The silverware is also disposable but I love how high end they look! Grab them on Walmart here or on Amazon here!
Well that’s it! I hope this inspired you to make your own Rosh Hashana Tablescape for the high holidays of 2024!
Until next time,
Libby
